Sweet and delicious, strawberry jam works as an excellent addition to any snack or appetizer. Ditch the store-bought stuff and try out this homemade strawberry jam recipe. Hoosier Hill Farm Fruit Pectin makes homemade jams easy. All you need is four simple ingredients to create this bright and fruity spread that is sure to satisfy! Perfect for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Kids are sure to love it!

Instructions

Step one: Wash and slice strawberries, remove hulls and green tops.

Step two: Combine strawberries and lemon juice in a 6 or 8 qt. saucepan. Gradually stir in pectin. Bring mixture to a full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly.

Step three: Add sugar, stirring to dissolve. Return to a full rolling boil. Boil hard for 1 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and skim foam if necessary.

Step four: Pour jam into warm jars and allow to cool prior to refrigeration or usage. This recipe will fill 8 half pint jars.

Step five: If you plan on keeping this strawberry jam over the course of a few months be sure you are following proper canning instructions, otherwise refrigerate and use quickly.
