Instructions

Ahead of time: Mix 6 Tbsps of Hoosier Hill Farm Heavy Cream Powder with 1 cup of cold water and let the mixture sit overnight in the refrigerator. You will need 2 Tbsp of this mixture to use in the chocolate chip cookies.

Brown the butter: Move 1 stick of butter to a large bowl. In a saucepan, cook the other stick of butter over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until butter comes to a boil. Continue to cook until the butter has become browned. Add browned butter into the bowl with the other butter, making sure to include the brown bits. Add in heavy cream and set aside to cool.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt and baking soda.

Mix the batter: In the bowl with the browned butter, add the brown and granulated sugars and whisk until the mixture is smooth. Add both of the eggs and vanilla, whisk until well combined. Add flour mixture and whisk until the batter is smooth. Next, add the chocolate and set the batter aside for 5 minutes.

Scoop and chill dough: Scoop level portions of dough and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet as close together as possible, cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Preheat oven and prepare pans: Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Space cookie dough about 3 inches apart.

Bake: Bake chocolate chip cookies until they are golden brown around the edges, this is around 22 minutes but may vary due to your oven. *After 12 minutes, rotate the baking sheets in the oven to help cookies bake more evenly.

*You do not need to brown the butter if you are short on time, but it does make this recipe very tasty*
