Butter Swim Biscuits
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 2 cups buttermilk (1 cup Hoosier Hill Farm Buttermilk Powder, 2 cups of water)
- ½ cup butter, melted
Prepare ahead of time: Mix 1 cup of Hoosier Hill Farm Buttermilk Powder with 2 cups of water. The mixture should equal 2 cups of buttermilk.
Step one: Preheat the oven to 450F.
Step two: Add flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt to a medium bowl. Use a whisk to mix the ingredients together.
Step three: Pour in the buttermilk mixture and stir until mostly combined, be sure you do not overwork the batter.
Step four: Pour melted butter into an 8×8 baking dish. Place the dough on top and spread evenly with a spatula or your hands.
Step five: Cut unbaked biscuit dough into 9 squares and bake for 28 minutes or until golden brown.
Step six: Allow the butter to be absorbed into the biscuits before cutting and serve.
