Apple Pie Filling
- 1 Tbsp + 1 tsp Hoosier Hill Farm Clear Jel
- 4 medium apples
- 3 Tbsp water
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp water
Step one: Peel, core and slice apples.
Step two: Melt butter and cinnamon over medium heat.
Step three: Stir in apples, sugar & 3 tablespoons of water. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally for 4-6 minutes or until very slightly softened.
Step four: In a small dish combine Clear Jel and water.
Step five: Add to the pan while stirring and continue to cook until the apples are soft (not mushy) and filling is thickened.
Step six: Let bubble for 1 minute. Cool.
